Transactional analysis is a theory where three ego states are recognised and used when communicating and interacting with others.

Transactional Analysis

Founded by Eric Berne, this theory of modern psychology analyses communication exchange (so-called transactions) between two people. It draws conclusions about the communicating individuals and their personalities.

By identifying the different ego states and when they are used, it helps to understand your own behaviour. It helps understand the reactions of others.  Also how to identify how to move in and out of each ego state.

This ultimately increases understanding of yourself . It enriches your dealings with people to help achieve successful and collaborative outcomes.
