The Chimp Paradox explained

It describes the mind as being made up of three components with the ‘Chimp’ component being the emotional element that reacts quickly to stimulus, thinks independently of you and can trigger thoughts and feelings that can either be constructive or destructive if you don’t spot this, or fail to control these emotions.
