Maslow’s Hierarchy of Need is a motivational theory

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Need

It puts forward that people are motivated by five categories of needs, which Maslow arranges as levels of a pyramid.

The theory suggests that the needs in the lower levels must first be met. This is before an individual can move up each of the five levels in the pyramid. Therefore they can reach their maximum level of personal motivation.
